TECHNICIEN EN BÂTIMENT – CHARPENTIER

(Poste à plein temps, basé à Kuujjuaq)

Le Service des travaux publics municipaux de l’ARK est responsable de l’entretien des bâtiments de l’organisation (bureaux, postes de police, aéroports, logements des employés, etc.) et d’apporter une assistance technique aux 14 villages nordiques (VN) en ce qui concerne le fonctionnement et l’entretien de leurs bâtiments de loisirs (arénas, piscines, gymnases et centres communautaires).

Relevant du coordonnateur de l’entretien de la Section de l’entretien des bâtiments, le technicien en bâtiment effectue l’entretien préventif et les opérations d’entretien et de réparation des éléments architecturaux de nos bâtiments (toits, parement, portes, fenêtres, escaliers, planchers, cloison sèche, etc.), conformément aux lois et règlements applicables.

TÂCHES :

• Effectuer le service régulier d’entretien et de réparations pour les éléments architecturaux;
• Veiller à ce que toutes les installations, les réparations et l’entretien répondent aux exigences des codes appropriés et à la qualité demandée par l’ARK;
• Respecter les règles de sécurité;
• Effectuer l’entretien général des bâtiments et les réparations dans le cadre de travaux de construction légers, de plâtrerie et de peinture;
• Effectuer toute autre tâche demandée par son supérieur.

COMPÉTENCES :

• Détenir une carte valide de la CCQ (n^o d’ordre 160);
• Avoir un permis de conduire de classe 5 valide;
• Posséder au moins cinq à huit années d’expérience pertinente dans le domaine de la construction et des travaux de rénovation;
• Capacité à lire des plans et des schémas;
• Être organisé dans son travail et respecter les délais;
• Faire preuve d’un comportement professionnel et être fiable, autonome et posséder un sens de l’initiative;
• Connaissance pratique d’au moins deux (2) langues parmi les suivantes, à l’oral et à l’écrit : inuktitut, anglais ou français;
• Détenir une connaissance pratique des logiciels, notamment Microsoft Office, serait un atout;
• Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante ainsi qu’en équipe.

Salaire : Minimum 52 481 $ et maximum 89 256 $ par an.

BUILDING TECHNICIAN - CARPENTER

(Full-time position, in Kuujjuaq)

The Municipal Public Works Department (MPW) of the KRG is responsible to maintain the organization buildings (offices, police stations, airports, employees housing units, etc.) and to provide technical assistance to the 14 Northern Villages (NVs) in matters related to operation and maintenance of their recreational buildings (arenas, swimming pools, gymnasiums and community centres).

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator of the Building Maintenance Section, the Building Technician performs preventive maintenance and service/repair operations on the architectural components of our buildings (roofs, siding, doors, windows, stairs, flooring, drywall, etc.) accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

DUTIES:

• Perform scheduled maintenance service and repairs to the architectural components
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes and the quality required by the KRG;
• Complying with safety rules;
• Perform general building maintenance and repairs as it relates to light construction, plastering and painting;
• Perform any other duty requested by his/her supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold a valid CCQ card (Trade #160)
• Have a valid class-5 driver’s licence;
• Minimum of five to eight years of relevant building experience in renovation work;
• Ability to read drawings and schematics;
• Organized in their work and meet deadlines;
• Demonstrated good professional conduct as well as being reliable, autonomous and possess a sense of initiative;
• Written and oral working knowledge of at least two (2) of the following languages: Inuktitut, English and French
• Have working knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office would be considered an asset;
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Salary: Minimum $52 481 maximum $89 256 annually
